Why won't my compressor start?
What to do if your Display Panel is on, but your compressor does not start
- Set mode to Cooling (Snowflake icon) : Press the mode button and make sure the snowflake icon is on.
- Remove/access the back of the Display Panel and check that all connections are secure.
- Remove the top cover to verify that the screw/bolt connections to the compressor controller and compressor are tight. Also, check that the white connectors on the compressor controller are connected tightly.
- Make sure the ambient temperature is 67 F or above, and that the set temperature is set about 10 degrees below the ambient temperature. Wait for the unit to run for 10 minutes. Sometimes the compressor has a delayed start to equalize inside pressure as well as prevent short-cycling.
