Why does my Velit air heater controller say "Fuel Pump OFF" "Wait...."
This is the "priming mode" screen of the controller, often not needed and if used be very careful to not over-prime the heater.
If you are on this screen of your controller, that says PUMP OFF Wait... then you are on the "priming mode" screen of the thermostat controller. Priming the heater should not be done blindly, and this mode is rarely needed to be used at all. Typically, the heater should be able to prime itself through normal startup.
Prime mode runs the fuel pump at it's highest speed/rate for 30 seconds unless stopped early. This will flood the heater if the pump is not stopped before the fuel reaches the heater.
If you are confused about this screen, the best thing to do is reset the fuse/power to the heater for 15+ seconds as a first step. This should reset the controller back to the main thermostat screen. You can also get back to the main thermostat screen by short pressing the center button.
If you are trying to correctly use the prime mode, and the pump is not clicking, it's possible there is an error code on the heater and you need to reset the power/fuse for 15+ seconds.
This screen does not indicate anything wrong with the heater and is a normal mode on the controller.
