What is that noise? 

If your air conditioner is making an unusual or very loud noise, the following steps can help identify the source of the problem. This helps our Support team get you the proper parts and resolution even more quickly!

Step 1: Switch the Unit to FAN Mode: Press the M button repeatedly until the unit enters FAN Mode. When the unit is in FAN Mode:

• All mode indicators will be off.
• The display will show only the current temperature.

Step 2: Listen for the Noise                                                                                                                                    If the Noise Is Still Present: If the noise continues while the unit is in FAN Mode, the issue may be related to the indoor fan. Please inspect the air outlet area for any visible debris or obstructions.

If the Noise Disappears: If the noise disappears in FAN Mode and only occurs while cooling, the issue may be related to a component inside the rooftop unit.

Step 3: Record a Video                                                                                                                                              If possible, please record a short video that clearly captures:

• The sound of the noise
• The operating mode of the unit
• Whether the noise is coming from inside the vehicle or from the rooftop unit

Once you have the video, contact Velit Support and include the recording so we can assist with further diagnosis. Additional Tips - Try to identify where the sound is coming from:

• Inside the vehicle near the air outlet
• From the rooftop unit
