If your rooftop display is showing an EF fan error:
Step 1: Did the display panel get wet?
- Did any water get in through the unit, or did anything splash on your display panel?
IF YES: Contact Support to Replace Display Panel and review this article to prevent future water damage
Step 2 : Open top cover + insulation shell. Check the blower fan blades, do they move freely without any resistance or rubbing. (reference article for this step)
Step 3: Drop down the Display panel and see if the 6 pin connector is seated flat and firmly (reference article for how to do this)
Step 4: Check Voltage between pin 10 and 12 on display board (Should be > 2.5 Volt() and for Brushed Fan check Pin 5 and 6 Voltage (Should be > 5 Volt)
Step 5: Check Voltage between pin 7 and 9 (Should = Source Voltage)
