# What do I do when my rooftop unit has an EF error?

## How to check and fix an EF error.

 If your rooftop display is showing an EF fan error:

#### **Step 1**: Did the display panel get wet?

- Did any water get in through the unit, or did anything splash on your display panel?

**IF YES:** Contact Support to Replace Display Panel and [review this article](https://help.velitcamping.com/help-articles/2000r-water-intrusion-fix-for-ef-error?hsLang=en) to prevent future water damage

#### **Step 2** : Open top cover + insulation shell. Check the blower fan blades, do they move freely without any resistance or rubbing. [(reference article for this step)](https://help.velitcamping.com/help-articles/how-do-i-replace-my-rooftop-evaporator-or-blower-fan?hsLang=en)

#### **Step 3**: Drop down the Display panel and see if the 6 pin connector is seated flat and firmly [(reference article for how to do this)](https://help.velitcamping.com/help-articles/how-to-replace-you?hsLang=en)

#### **Step 4**: Check Voltage between pin 10 and 12 on display board (Should be \> 2.5 Volt() and for Brushed Fan check Pin 5 and 6 Voltage (Should be \> 5 Volt)

#### **Step 5**: Check Voltage between pin 7 and 9 (Should = Source Voltage)
