Symptoms include: Water dripping through the unit, visible damage to the display, jumping temperature/mode, or other random behavior:
Display panel is damaged by water intrusion/leak. Replace the display panel.- Follow this video to reroute the wiring to prevent future water intrusion:

***OLD MODELS ONLY*** Verify that the wires shown below are routed as shown and have sealant as shown: (if not, any exterior, silicon-based caulk or sealant needs to be used to prevent further damage) 
If the leak persists, and this was on a self-install, verify that the installation was done as shown. You can also reapply the sealant around the opening by removing the unit from the roof and redoing step 3.2
