How does the 2000U remote display work?

The 2000U remote display is a wired extension of the display panel. The display panel on the unit itself still senses ambient temperature.
The remote display allows the user to see the display, change settings, and more clearly direct their infrared remote controller. The infrared remote controller needs line of sight to the remote display but offers a wireless control option.
