Error 07 - Velit Air Heater Fuel Pump Error

What to do when you get an E07 on a Velit gasoline or diesel air heater.

This does not necessarily mean you have a bad fuel pump, and we rarely if ever see our fuel pumps go bad.

If it happens immediately at starting, it is likely to be a firmware or electrical interference issue. Contact Velit support to check firmware version.

If it happens after about 30-45 seconds of starting, check the fuel pump wiring harness and connector. Ensure the pins on the connector look good, and the connector is snapped onto the pump until it clicks.

If the error is immediate, that tells us something because the pump should not even click until about 45 seconds after starting once glow plug is heated. If the error happens about 45 seconds after starting, that's when the ECU sends signal to the pump to begin pumping so that points to the electrical connection.

What to look for when inspecting connection:

  1. That the female electrical connectors are correctly positioned and aligator mouths on the female side are squeezed tight for good connection on male pins on pump.

  2. Use a pick to remove rubber seal and replace back into connector, ensuring if the seal was glued in unevenly it will reset evenly after being removed and replaced.
  3. Give the two brown wires going into the connection a little tug to ensure the are properly inserted and locked into connector
  4. Ensure male pins on fuel pump are in-tact.
  5. Ensure when reattaching the electrical connector to the pump you get a good solid "click" indicating the connector is fully attached.
