Can Velit air heaters be switched between gas and diesel fuel types?

No, heaters cannot be switched from diesel to gasoline. Heaters can be switched to diesel if the heater was originally manufactured as a gasoline.
The reason for this is why many companies do not make gasoline heaters, because they are much harder to get working reliably than diesel heaters. And that said, our diesel heaters are only ever tested at the factory as diesel, so we cannot be sure they will run gasoline appropriately.
There may also be some diesel models with combustion chambers not meant for running gasoline.
With gasoline heaters, they are tested to a much higher standard, so they are normally able to run as diesel heaters no problem.
There are different firmwares for gasoline and diesel.
You can tell by looking at the sticker on the side of the heater if the heater was originally manufactured to run Diesel or Gasoline.
